Think about this "Progressive" BayStater's:

Charleston County, South Carolina (population 330,000) just approved an
additional 0.5% sales tax to fund transporation in the county.

This includes $95 million for construction and improvements of greenways, trails
and paths in the county.(I don't know over what time period - 10 yrs.?)

Imagine if we raised and spent the same per capita spending here!

That would generate:

$25 million for Somerville alone

a Billion ! for Metro Boston

$1.8 billion for the State
