Not that I'm aware of.  Remember that favicon.ico files are extremely low
resolution; I believe 48x48 is the max. Actually, I think a 48x48 PNG
file might work.

I used gnome-iconedit or babygimp, I think, to make the bcn one.

It is helpful to have a favicon, since it makes your site more easily
recognizable in a bookmark list, etc.
