[Linux-disciples] Troubleshooting net problems

I am having net problems.  Unfortunatly, I was not
able to find any pages on google that offered anything
like a flow-chart or something else useful for
diagnosing the problems for linux.  There are
thousands of hits for solutions to particular problems
that particular people have had, but nothing seemed to
work for me.  Does anyone know of any resources?

BTW, it is a problem in my setup, not the hardware, as
I am e-mailing this from the problem machine, but
running it off of a demolinux cd.
