Even stranger: if I

1) load a page that has some "disappearing text" on it,
2) scroll down past the disappearing text, using either the mouse's
scrolly wheel or the arrow keys or the vertical scroll bar
(but not using Page Down) so that the disappearing text goes offscreen,
then
3) scroll back up,

then the disappearing text reappears. If I use the Page Down key, though,
this trick doesn't work.

I'm seeing this on my own page, but not on a lot of others (though I've
not looked very carefully -- it's only my page that I know well enough to
know when something isn't as it should be). In particular, I'm not seeing
it on Adam's page.

Thinking that maybe the trick was to use <div>s rather than <h1>, <h2>,
and <h3> -- like Adam -- I switched to <div>s. No dice.

I wonder whether some other aspect of my site's layout -- like the
presence of tables -- is causing this bug. I've started reworking my site
to use the same stylesheet as www.megnut.com, of which this is the VERY
rough draft:

http://laniels.org/weblog/index.test

It uses <h3> for article titles and so forth, and renders fine on my end.

Very confusing.
