[Linux-disciples] Problems with Mozilla ... under Windows

A friend is considering switching to the Avant Browser under Windows,
because Mozilla - which I encouraged him to switch to - seems to be
messing up on him. I asked for details about his Mozilla problems, and
here's what he wrote:
/*
After a while, usually in situations where I'm spawning more than 1 or 2
browser windows, the application stops redrawing. The only way I can get
the windows to redraw is either by scrolling them (if they scroll) all
the way to new content, or by dragging a non-Mozilla window on top and
then switching back over to Mozilla. This includeds the entire window,
not just the content area. The URL, the interface, all of it. If I quit
Mozilla entirely, the problem would go away when I opened it back up, but
would occur again, even sooner than last time (it seems).
This is Mozilla 1.4, by the way. We upgraded from our last version,
because it was freaking out during printing, and crashing occasionally.
*/
I figured this was the right place to post this question, but please
excuse me if it's not. I just thought someone here might know why Mozilla
behaves this way under Windows. Has anyone seen it? Any idea how to fix
it?
