i mentioned that the cyclist was helmet-less because the cop kept saying to me: "that's brain blood, that's brain blood", and i did indeed see a dark spill across the bridge i'm on a couple of times a day. <br>

Yes, I realize that bikes are required to have lights, and it's a good<br>
idea. But it's the car driver's responsibility to look where he's<br>
going, and to be able to see well enough to know whether there is an<br>
object of any sort in his path.<br>
