waiting to make a left. The light turned green. I made my
left and got way over to right on <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Brookline</st1:City></st1:place>.
The ambulance said over the speaker to get off the road. At
the next light I told him that I was trying to make myself visable and stay out
of his way. The light turned green he had his right signal on but instead
went straight for me nearly missing my rear wheel. Then he drove fast too
close to me. At this point I pulled over reported his plate number 4031
to the Boston Police and then called Cataldo Ambulance. Cataldo said they
did not have any ambulances with that plate number. I was pretty
upset and may have misread the plate number but I think it in fact was 4031.
Very frustrating. I bicycle all the time but times like these
cause me to really wonder. Especially with what happened last week
on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Hunting Ave.</st1:address></st1:Street>
That guy just shouldn’t be driving an Ambulance at all.
Imagine this is a guy who is supposed to be for life and he’s
out harassing Cyclists. I hope he gets caught before he hurts someone

we lose a friend for completely random and horrible reasons, it is difficult

however, i believe that this forum has brought up some really interesting
topics for bicyclists in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">boston</st1:City></st1:place>
& most people on the list have done a great job of looking towards positive
and productive change. i am new to the list, action-wise, and hope to see
more of the suggestions for good work/laws/maps/anything for making biking
inviting and in-plain-sight for people in this city. <br>
<br>
i appreciate all of the work, thoughts, actions that each person contributing
to this list, critical mass, and bicycle awareness in general has brought to the
front and center of everyone's minds this past week or so. (save the random guy
a few strings ago who clearly shouldn't be on the list - writing about the
right to open his door whenever he wants into a bike lane). <br>
<br>
i did not know gordon riker, but my heart & thoughts are still with
everyone who did. for the rest of us, be safe and keep working to create
positive awareness for all of us.<br>
