Who's assuming? I am saying that there are some lousy places to ride
and that the map makers can take us to wherever, but to consider the
pleasure of riding for 150 people.<br>

My angle on JP is thus. If you begin at Copley and head in that
direction you have to trek through some streets that aren't ideal.
There is Columbus Ave. (not so nice), Parker Street (we got egged on
that one 2 years ago and there is a hill), South Huntington (already
mentioned) The J-way (now you are talking, but that is VERY fast).
Once we get to JP it will rock, we have done it. We even ended at the
Arboretum once.<br>

This is only a for instance, there are side streets that will get us
there quite peacefully, but it needs to be thought out, that's all. I
believe you will keep people happy if you think of the qualities I have
mentioned as you work it out.<br>

The Boston/Cambridge core that we usually ride through has a centrality
that may work for everyone.<br>

along the water in Southie that passes the L street bathhouse is really

The examples you gave a very limited and exclude whole other interesting
parts of the city that are fun/easy to ride, that haven't really been

this direction too. That Greenway?---It will be surrounded by many
lanes of speeding cars. I am often shocked at the wonderful/horrible
examples of urbanism all in the same city.

square? These parts both don't see critical mass much (so we should
spread awareness to those areas, right?) and aren't totally congested
like, say, kenmore during a sox game.
I propose a strong push to go where few massers have gone before.
