seven new board members. (MassBike had originally planned to elect six new
directors, but Board Member Ted Hamann of Falmouth recently resigned, opening
another spot. Ted’s longstanding service is much appreciated.) Thanks to
everyone who ran for the board, and to all those who voted in our December
elections. Our new board members are Jeff Bayard of Medford; Alison Dewey of
Beverly; Ed Gross of Falmouth; Christopher Igleheart of Wenham; Wayne Maceyka of
West Newton; and Lindsay Swain of Cambridge. Current board member Kevin Porter
was re-elected to a second term. Also, all recommended Constitution changes were
approved. The goal of the proposed Constitution changes was to increase board
member accountability and participation. </FONT></P>

amazing 44 new members in December and $11,460 in renewals, new memberships, and
additional contributions. Your generous donations allow us to advocate for

Boston this April 15-17. If you’d like to be certified to teach people cycling
skills, this is your only chance to do it this year in New England. You must
have completed the “Road I” course, offered in the past by MassBike, in order to
take this training. However, we will be offering a “Road I” course in late
February to ensure that everyone who wants to take the LCI class is eligible.
There is a registration fee of $175 payable to the League of American
