<H3>Boston City Council Hearing Monday, September
20</H3></FONT><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"
size=2>Attention MassBike members! The Boston City Council has
announced a hearing this Monday, September 20 in response to the
death this summer of cyclist Kirsten Malone. The hearing will take
place at 5:00 p.m. at the Honan-Allston Branch Library, 300 North
Harvard St. in Allston, and will discuss issues of bikes and bike
safety across the city, as well as upcoming repaving projects.
<BR><BR>Please attend this hearing if possible and share your
experiences as a cyclist in the city. Specifically, it would be
tremendously helpful if you could: <BR><BR>--Urge the city to work
with MassBike to conduct a public service announcement campaign
aimed at increasing bike safety awareness <BR><BR>--Ask the city to
seek input from MassBike and the cycling community in all upcoming
repaving projects, so as to ensure that roads are safe for
