The Cambridge Bicycle Committee is celebrating science and innovation
with the String Theory Bike Tour. The May 19 ride will wind throughout
the city, passing dozens of present day and historical sites
associated with technology and discovery.

Riders will be treated to a special presentation during a stop at the
Museum of Science. The ride covers 14 miles and is divided into 3
approximately equal segments beginning in Kendall Square and ending at
Fresh Pond.

Notable landmarks include the site of Alexander Graham Bell's first
"long-distance" call (from Boston), the homes and workshops of the
inventors who created the "quadricycle," the sewing machine, and the
instant camera, and the universities where ongoing research advances
our understanding of science.
