Yes, he was convicted. Of filing false documents. Not assault, nor harrassment. Just filing false documents. Then he was given no meaningful sentence. Just a conditional discharge (ie no punishment assuming he maintains the conditions of the discharge) but with _no_ conditions. His only real "punishment" is that it would be difficult for him to be rehired as a police officer (he resigned a year ago). So I continue to have no faith in nyc police.
And on top of that you never hear of investigations into the other officers who witness these things and then back the primary officer involved. Why do they not even get investigated?
