Well, I suppose I should weigh in on this. My primary intention, of
course, is to promote an event that promotes my politics. Although I
ride regularly, I have never participated in CM, and so did not have a
good understanding of how CM works.

As near I can tell, it operates as a hive event, without any purpose
other than to make itself seen and, by dint of that, to make drivers
more aware of cyclists on the road. So imho, if our slogans detract
from that, then don't join. If you disagree, then don't join. But if
you agree with our political purpose and don't think it harms the
visibility of the hive, then nobody has the authority to stop you.

Does that seem to be a good way to think about things?
