Hello,
I'm working on a bike-design and competition affiliated with the Museum of Science and UMass Lowell. It's scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, on the UMass Lowell, South Campus. We're envisioning a light-hearted competition that would enable bike enthusiasts to experiment with design and engineering, and then show off their rides. We currently have a team of students designing and constructing a 4-person, 4-wheeled bicycle, for example. Other potential categories of design and competition would include The Tallest Tall Bike, Most People on a Two-Wheeled Bike, and Wooden Bikes. There will be some fun prizes and local bike shops, the University and the public would all support and attend the event.

Is there a way that I could send out some invites and promotional fliers to the Critical Mass crew in Boston? I have more details I can send along to encourage people to enter. Should be a lot of fun. We would love to have as many Critical Mass riders as possible jump on the train and come up to Lowell for the event. We'll provide transport from the train to UMass for people and their bike designs.

By the way, I used to love watching Critical Mass in downtown San Francisco. It's a great "non-organization!" I just moved back to the area and might join you for a ride this summer.

Please get back to me as soon as you can, the event date is creeping up on us.

Thanks for your help,
Dave
