Summer Green Jobs for youth & teens:
 
 Groundworks Somerville has Summer Garden Youth Crew, taking care of school gardens, having fun outside, learning lots of cool stuff! An outdoor active community service project, learning about the environment and urban gardening - 
 Youthworkers are in Grades 6-9, diverse Somerville sites. 6 week summer internship, $100 stipend. Visits to local organic farms, cooking and eating meals, harvesting and selling fresh organic produce at local farmers markets, planting trees, fun!  Boston Summer Conservation Corps:  15 - 17 years old, registered with the City of Boston Hope Line: www.bostonyouthzone.com see data below! OR you are a resident of Milton. Deadline April 1 2008. 3 teams of 30-36 youth work in Neponset River greenway, Dorchester, Mattapan, HydePark, East Boston and various other Urban Wilds city-wide. $8. per hour, 830am-130pm Mon-Fri from July 7th to August 22nd. Team members learn environmental topics, conservation, mural painting, trail restoration, landscaping, and educational programming, Boston area park visits, canoeing, college /career workshops.

 You must be registered on the Hopeline in order to work for Boston Youth  Fund. many positions pay $8 per hour. Must be resident of City of Boston and 15 up to 18 years old - you turn 15 on or before July 6, 2008, and you cannot be 18 on or before August 15th 2008.
