Thanks to Charlene for sending this out to BCN. I've been a member of this group for many years and it should be a terrific event for anyone interested in music and social change. To clarify a bit: although people who attend are interested in music, it is NOT an organization of or for professional musicians, but rather for those, such as activists, organizers, teachers, etc, who are interested in the uses of music to aid social change. Such as union music, music used for educating or promoting progressive politics, rally music, etc etc.
People can attend just the Friday concert, which should be terrific, or the weekend gathering (or part of it), or both. Charlene points out that the fees are low -- in addition, PMN policy is that no-one is turned away from the gathering for inability to pay.
If anyone wants more information, as noted already, see www.peoplesmusic.org or, for additional details, feel free to call me at The Big Top -- 617-265-7479.

Hi all,
A fabulous event is coming to our area next weekend, I'm planning to go to the concert Friday, and for the Saturday events. You don't have to be a musician, though most folks who go are, and there will be amazing performances from local and national performers with both progressive politics and wonderful chops! The link to the site is at the bottom of the page.
Cost of the conference is quite reasonable and is sliding scale.
