The Seedpod Co-op, located in Field’s Corner, Dorchester, has several
rooms available starting June 1st and later in the summer.

Seedpod Co-op is an active, multi-generational community of 13 people:
musicians, dancers, techies, activists, bakers, thinkers, carpenters, and
more. We share, which means you get lots of extras! The house includes
tons of common space: a kitchen, a spacious dining room, two living rooms,
an office, and six porches. Rent will be $495-565 per month (depending on
your room size). $50/month in utilities gets you wireless internet,
telephone, and a free washing machine as well as the usual heat and
electricity. $135/month gets you a six prepared meals a week and a kitchen
that's always stocked with food.

We share vegetarian meals, purchase our food collectively, share household
chores, hold bi-weekly house meetings, and are dedicated to community &
social justice.

Our house is owned by Boston Community Cooperatives (BCC), a non-profit
organization formed to build community through cooperative living, member
education, neighborhood improvement and collective action. Members
participate in a no-equity model (meaning you don’t make money off it) of
communally-owned, democratically controlled and affordable residential
co-operatives. Our first co-op house started 7 years ago around values of
vegetarianism, open communication, communal ownership, environmental
sustainability, creativity and social justice. The Seedpod Co-op opened in
the summer of 2005, so we’re still relatively new and it’s an exciting
time to get involved!
