Hey all-
As some of you know, I've been volunteering teaching English at Centro
Presente since last September. We are in urgent need of a few teachers
for the summer cycle that begins the week of July 9. If you are
interested or you know someone who is, let me or Zuleika Andrade, the
Education for Empowerment director at Centro (zandrade at cpresente.org),
know asap. Thank you.
I had not taught ESL before I began in September. Though experience is
great, it's also a place to get a lot of support, encouragement, and
patience if teaching and/or teaching ESL is new to you. As I've written
some of you before, it is a warm and welcoming place, and a great
opportunity to learn about current issues and experiences of immigrants
to the US.
We need
1 teacher for advanced ESL on Saturdays from 9-1
1 teacher for Spanish language literacy on Saturdays from 9-11 (must
speak spanish)
1 teacher for computer classes Saturdays 1-5 (must speak some spanish)

organizing, leadership development and basic services, Centro Presente
strives to give our members voice and build community power.
