Hi all,
I'm just a lurker on this list and only wish I was living in a coop, but I
thought that this might interest some of you, so I'm passing it on in case
some people aren't on act-ma and don't know about it. It's at the Lucy
Parsons Center (http://www.lucyparsons.org for directions). And I'm not
involved with it other than planning to go to it.

Do-It Ourselves: Radical Urban Sustainability Skillshare Network
date: Thursday, July 5th, 2007
time: 7 PM - 9 PM
description: July Topic: Participants are encouraged to talk about a
sustainability project or system (something you made, grew, adapted
yourself)or ask for help or suggestion on something you would like to
do.
A meeting place for do-it-yourselfers with an anarchist bent and
desire for community to share information, develop skills, and
encourage each other in creating sustainable living systems for
individual homes and small communities in an urban environment.
Topics
may include food production; foraging and scavenging materials;
alternative water/waste/energy systems; carpentry/ plumbing/
electrical/ sewing skills; philosophical and political aspects of
lifestyle decisions. Participants interested in working on particular
projects may spin off from the main meeting.
