1 huge room available February 1st for a price somewhere between $550 and
$650
1 room available around February 14th for $420 ish
Plus, each person contributes $100-$120 per month for all food and
utilities.
Each of these rooms are big enough for two people to share, especially the
huge one.

The house:
This amazing 9-bedroom-plus house is located next to the Pond in JP, a few
minutes walk to the Stony Brook T stop, right off of Centre Street. We have
a yard with a garden, large trees, and a hammock. In the basement you can:
do your laundry, work on your bike, build cool things, and store your bikes
and your stuff. We also have porches, plenty of bathrooms, two large common
spaces, a sunroom, lots of books, fireplaces that work, and lots of windows.
Olive, Pasha, Ballou (cat-friends), and Shasta (dog friend) live here too.

The roommates:
We are about a dozen people, all in our 20's and 30's, and some of us enjoy
things like cooking, gardening, performance art, books, music-playing,
activism, organizing events, playing outside and so on. Queer-friendly!

The cooperative:
We all share household responsibilities of cooking, food shopping, and
cleaning. Each person helps cook dinner (and clean up) with another roommate
for the house one night per week (and in return, you get 4-5 nights of
dinner available to you). We buy vegan food for the house (although you can
buy/cook non-vegan food for yourself). We have a house meeting every other
week where we check-in, communicate things in constructive ways, and make
decisions by consensus. Sometimes we use the common spaces in the house for
fun events.

If you are interested (yay!) please respond to the questions below and email
them to us at info at beauforthouse dot org

What is your life like?
What type of place are you looking to live in?
How would you describe your politics?
How would you describe your diet, and are you okay with living in a
vegan/vegetarian household?
How do you feel about living with three cats and one dog?
How do you feel about using the house for public events, workshops, etc?
How do you feel about having guests stay?
What does cooperative living mean to you?
What do you think about house meetings?
What is your schedule like? (When would you be able to come meet us?)
Anything else to add?
