A 4-year-old co-op in Brookline is relocating to JP,
and we are looking for a fifth member.

We have very happily, quietly, and successfully lived
together in Brookline, but our beautful old house is
being sold. We have found another beautiful house to
rent: the top two floors of a big house on a quiet
street in JP, in between the pond, the Arboretum, and
the monument at Centre and South Sts. There are large
and attractive common areas, lots of closets, two
porches, woodwork, a yard, etc. Parking is on-street,
apparently spaces always available.

"We" currently includes a multimedia specialist at
Children's Hospital, a Brandeis librarian (these two a
couple), a Children's Museum educator, and a physics
teacher/rowing coach. We rotate shopping for all
house food, each cook for the house every other week,
divide chores, and generally make sure we work
together well. We lean vegetarian (one of us *is*
vegetarian) and organic, but not strictly. We like to
recycle. One of us gardens, two knit, one juggles,
one plays music, two commute by bicycle a lot, we all
read and we all like the Daily Show. We have been
pretty quiet--we never get drunk and trash the house,
and we have never had a house stereo system (just a
portable in the kitchen). We keep the place clean and
grumble when people leave their stuff all over the
place.

Pets potentially okay, but maybe not. Smoking is not.

Give a call or email if you are interested or have
questions. The lease runs July 1 to next May 31, rent
will be around $600.
